Tucked away in the heart of Canonbury, Bistro Sablé is Noble Inns’ French neighbourhood restaurant, inspired by the spirit of the Parisian Bistro and the elegance of the French table.
As part of the Noble Inns family, we are guided by an ethos of exceptional provenance and thoughtful hospitality. Our ingredients are sourced with the utmost care, from dayboat fish and carefully selected meats to seasonal fruit and vegetables gathered fresh each morning from New Spitalfields Market, bringing clarity, honesty and depth of flavour to every dish.
Bistro Sablé is centred on classic yet simple French Bistro cooking. Whether it’s a light lunch of Croque Madame or something more indulgent such as Rotisserie Chicken with Girolles and sauce Vin Jaune or Bœuf Bourguinon, our menu is rooted in timeless French Bistro tradition.
Our wine list is devoted entirely to France and curated with discovery in mind. With the majority of wines available not only by the bottle, but also in 75ml tasting pours, 125ml glasses and 375ml carafes, guests are encouraged to explore regions, compare styles and find new favourites.
Inside you’ll find simple white tablecloths, friendly, attentive service, and an interior featuring artwork sourced directly from The Parisian flea markets.

We offer exclusive venue hire of the whole venue, including the garden for up to 100 guests. Exclusive venue hire is available Tuesday to Saturday. We serve a seasonal menu & require a pre-order in advance. A minimum spend applies.

Group Bookings
Only a short walk from Islington Town Hall, Bistro Sablé is the perfect spot for a celebratory lunch or dinner. We can host up to 35 guests in a single section of our main dining room, or up to 50 guests across two sections. We serve a seasonal 3 course menu, perfect for any occasion, & require a pre-order in advance.
